RAGE THEATRICS WILL PERFORM HERO STORIES AT THE OLD CREAMERY THEATRE JANUARY 19-20, 26-27

December 21, 2007 – Iowa City, IA and the Amanas, IA – HERO STORIES, the latest production by local action theatre company Rage Theatrics, will take place at the Old Creamery Theatre in Amana, IA January 19-20 and 26-27.  This evening of swordplay and stage combat features original plays and new adaptations of classic work.  From Dracula to D’Artagnan, this wild and humorous collection offers something for everyone.  Tickets are only $12, and can be purchased online now at http://www.oldcreamery.com/ticketWin.php, or by calling the Old Creamery Box Office at 1-800-35AMANA after January 7th.  This production is sponsored by Zephyr Copies.

This production marks the first collaboration between Rage Theatrics and the Old Creamery Theatre.  “I’m very excited about partnering with Rage Theatrics,” says Old Creamery Theatre Executive Director David Kilpatrick. “This gives the Old Creamery Theatre an opportunity to introduce our theatre to new audience members as well as introduce our audience to new theatre companies.  This will be a win-win for everyone.” Rage Theatrics Marketing Coordinator Nancy Mayfield adds, “I hope this will be the first collaboration of many.”

Although Rage’s last stage appearance in Eastern Iowa was in the Rage/Dreamwell Theatre/Englert Theatre co-production Pen vs Sword: An Evening on the Fringe, HERO STORIES more closely resembles last year’s montage production, Love and Rage.  Both productions feature a variety of scenes directed by local artists from a variety of backgrounds and aesthetics to create a multi-dimensional theatre experience.
