SHOW AND CAST DETAILS:

YOUR SWASH IS UNBUCKLED: THREE PIRATE PLAYS BY JEFF GOODE” is composed of three short plays by No Shame co-founder and LA playwright Jeff Goode.  This is the first time these plays have been performed all together.  The plays are:

“Jolly Jack Junior: The Buccaneer’s Bairn”

“The Lewd Loves of a Lusty Laundress”

“Bridget of Bristol: The Bawdy Brigandess”

In “Jolly Jack Junior: The Buccaneer’s Bairn”, a young man declares war on all pirates as he seeks revenge for his buccaneer mother who abandoned him as a wee lad.  When he finally confronts her, he learns that in some things, mother really does know best.  The lad and his mother are played by Nate Mims and Nancy Mayfield, both long-time members of Rage Theatrics and the touring troupe, Shattock Schoole of Defence.  “Jolly Jack Junior” is directed by Rage Theatrics Managing Director Scott Lewis.

“Lewd Loves of a Lusty Laundress” follows the daydreaming of a lonely lass whose Cinderella-like life progresses from wishful thinking to its own fairy tale ending.  Becca Miller, a newcomer to Rage Theatrics, plays the laundress; her suitors are portrayed by Rage Theatrics regulars Aaron Haworth, Nathan Kula, and Jason Tipsword.  Tipsword is also Rage Theatrics’ resident fight director, and the primary choreographer for “YOUR SWASH IS UNBUCKLED.”

The performance culminates with “Bridget of Bristol: The Bawdy Brigandess.” When the bragging Bridget challenges any man to cross swords with her, she is confronted by a damsel no longer in distress and harboring a grudge.  Directed by Rage Theatrics Education Director Nancy Mayfield, “The Bawdy Brigandess” is performed by Rage Theatrics member Kate Thompson and Rage newcomer Megan Sands.
